Nuclear Applepants

Mel Mayhem

Mike Majik

We are a band that originated in the late 80’s  and to this day we’re still together. We had other individual names such as “Beyond Darkness“ or “Window Payne” or even “Nut Bellies of Sponge” and in the truest of Nuclear Applepants tradition “Chjunk 46” is alive and well and is Tom’s personal playground. Mel’s roots dig even deeper that. At a very early age when she had already endured a lifetime of psychological damage due to the inept medical system who makes choices to intervene on young children when they are too young to give permission; so the hatred of all governments Burns within her blood. Mike is a multi instrumentalist who started shortly after Mel but before Tom on a cheap guitar like you would find in walmart (a Terminator). Since then he focuses mainly on the bass and lyrics and on occasion, vocals. It’s also worth noting that Mike, Tom and Mel sometimes decide not to add any bass of any kind to some of our music. We came up with this theory in the hopes that out their; somewhere, some mother fucker has a car stereo outfitted with far to many tweeters and only one subwoofer with the hopes that the mother fucker is fed up with pulling up to a stop light next to some dumb shit that spent $500 on a Honda Civic that puts out way to much bass in such a manner it drives anyone nearby nuts! So the mother fucker cranks his tweeters to see how the homeboy in the Honda likes it! These homeboys spend $3000 on exhaust systems that sound like they were broken to begin with, a $5000 titanium spoiler or wing and about $5000 in lowering the poor Honda with a set of wheels and tires rated for 200+ m.p.h. which have extreme difficulty in crossing the most basic drainage dips and speed bumps. Due to the laws of physics, the top speed of homey’s Honda with $13,000 in what is somehow perceived as performance upgrades gives homeboy a top speed that is currently unmeasurable by any known common sense. That’s one of the signature sounds in Nuclear Applepants you might have noticed. Tom has been around since the beginning, but that being said he was raised in the ghetto having a childhood in the station wagon estates and growing up in minivan land where the band first started to take shape. His influence comes from the very thought that a Honda Goldwing is not the same as a Harley Davidson. We first went public in 2004 on MySpace when Facebook was just a twinkle in somebody’s nutsack. We eventually ditched MySpace and were then on Facebook in 2005. Back then having your own website was a big deal which we finally got in 2007. In 2007 Mike started taking the music industry seriously and was the sole controller of the band at the time and he rereleased our music on reverbnation which is where you’ll find our music today. In 2017 we all started taking it seriously and since released two new originals and an older instrumental written by Tom in the mid 90’s. This is Nuclear Applepants. We have been around since about 1988. We’re not going anywhere. We don’t care and if your the type that does, go fuck yourself.

The Problem

Any state, any entity, any idealogogy that fails to recognize the dignity, the worth; the rights of man, that state is obsolete.
